Our small group training service offers individuals the opportunity to train specific to their needs and goals in an enjoyable, highly motivating group environment. Groups will contain a maximum of 4 people, with all exercises during sessions modified and scalable to meet individual needs and the ability of each individual.
This service offers two weekly supervised training sessions over an 8-week period, pre and post-intervention testing, and a final progress report presenting results and future recommendations.

Resistance training is one of the most widely practised forms of physical activity, with this type of exercise primarily being used to enhance:
Additionally, resistance training may also have a positive influence on metabolic and mental health.
With this in mind, our small group training programme for the general population will combine various modes of resistance training with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to ensure a complete training experience.
In light of the reality that ageing is accompanied by a progressive reduction in muscle mass, strength and most of all power.
We here at JTM Fitness believe it is crucial that older adults prioritise resistance training with an emphasis on relatively heavy weights and high-velocity movement to be performed regularly and most importantly, correctly.
With this in mind, our small group training interventions offer older adults the opportunity to improve health-related quality of life through progressive, low-risk, high-reward training.
Why do endurance athletes need to worry about strength and conditioning?
As endurance sport performance relies on a complex interplay of physiological and biomechanical factors, the addition of periodised and/or concurrent strength training improves the athletes performance by enhancing factors such as:
In addition, and perhaps the most significant performance-enhancing benefit that strength training provides, is by way of injury prevention which enables the athlete to maintain a high level of fitness through consistent training.
With this in mind, our small group training intervention offers endurance athletes the opportunity to improve their performance through progressive sport-specific training, with additional prehab exercises to lower the likelihood of overuse injuries.
Programme objective may vary depending on phase of the season.
Strength training has become a fundamental aspect of an athletes preparation to reach optimal performance. Through the manipulation of various modes of resistance training such as strength, power and plyometrics to name a few, athletes may enhance specific neuromuscular adaptations that subsequently lead to improvements in their ability to generate power and move at high velocity, therefore gaining a competitive advantage when performing explosive movements such as jumping, throwing, sprinting and all other locomotive activities.
With this in mind, our small group training interventions offers team sport athletes the opportunity to improve their performance through progressive sport specific training, with additional prehab exercises to further add resilience and resistance to impact.
The primary objective of the programme may vary depending on phase of the season.
